Over 100 buses an hour arrive at Metrocentre’s Transport Interchange from throughout the North East.
CentreLink Service X66 from Gateshead Metro Interchange
X66 CentreLink operates along the new dedicated riverside route. Gateshead Metro Station is only 10 minutes away from Metrocentre if you use the X66 CentreLink. This frequent service operates every 7 – 8 minutes during the day, every 10 minutes during weekday evenings and every 15 minutes during weekend evenings.
Metrocentre Shuttle 100 from Newcastle City Centre (Blackett Street, Monument and Central Station)
Shuttle 100 is a fast and frequent service bringing you from the heart of Newcastle in just 15 minutes. There is a service every 7 minutes during the day, every 12 minutes during evenings and every 12 minutes on Sunday from Newcastle Monument and Central Station.
Frequent direct buses run from many other locations throughout the North East.
New bus stop for Metrocentre Qube
Westbound passengers travelling on Go North East buses to Metrocentre's newly refurbished yellow mall will be able to use a new bus stop from Sunday, July 26.
The new stop, on Scotswood View, is just a short walk away from the new leisure and dining experience known as Qube and will be served by the following buses: TEN; Diamond 43 and 44; Red Kite 45 and 46; Derwent Ranger 47; Blaydon Racers 48, 49 and 49A; Highwayman 97 and Venture 143. West Durham Swift services 31 and 32 will use the stop at evenings and on Sundays only. All other Go North East services will continue to drop passengers at the Metrocentre public transport interchange

Look out for our Metrocentre circular buses that do just that. These circle the Centre calling at all four entrances, travelling to the Metro Retail Park, Gala Bingo, Asda and Ikea. The service runs every 6 - 8 minutes during the day and every 10 - 15 minutes during the evening. Click here for more information.
