Over recent years the owners of Metrocentre, Capital Shopping Centres (CSC), have been working on a modernisation programme to ensure that the Centre keeps pace with the latest trends and meets the aspirations of today’s customers.
Examples include the recent red mall remodelling, a public transport interchange, retiling and redecoration.
In Summer 2007 planning permission was granted to relocate the current Odeon Cinema to the yellow mall.
The Works are nearly completed and Metrocentre Qube has arrived!
Metrocentre Qube brings a brand new dimension in leisure and dining to Metrocentre, helping to make your visit to Metrocentre a complete shopping, leisure and dining experience.
The stylish new mall has become synonymous with dining and leisure at Metrocentre hosting 5 great new restaurants, and from November 2009, a Namco Funscape with bowling alley and the fastest dodgem track in Europe.
In December a brand new state of the art ODEON cinema will open complete with the only IMAX theatre in the area.
The bright, modern and contemporary new mall with distinctive black and yellow branding is becoming a very popular part of the centre. The new exterior lighting makes a bold statement and can be seen from across the river.
