This is a FREE family service available from the Customer Services Desks to give parents peace of mind whilst shopping. Families visiting the Centre with a child can register and collect their free identity wristband at any of the Customer Services Desks on their arrival at the Centre.

It is a very simple but effective service and one that children will find enjoyable as the wristbands are decorated with the Centre's very own cuddly characters, the MetroGnomes.

MetroCentre, in conjunction with Northumbria Police, have introduced the safe child wristband scheme to ensure that parents or guardians and child are reunited as quickly as possible.

Parents simply fill in the underside of the wristband with any of the following information and secure around the child's wrist.

Parents can use:
Mobile Telephone number
Car registration
Parent or Guardian Name

If at any time they become separated this information will be used to ensure that MetroCentre staff are able to contact parents as quickly as possible.
